Oliver is a distinguished and passionate veterinarian with a wealth of experience and expertise. After graduating from Massey University in 1999, he began his career in Wellington, where he worked for two years before moving to London to join a busy companion animal practice. In 2005, Oliver returned to Auckland and was delighted to become part of the team at Onewa Road Veterinary Hospital. In 2017, he partnered with Richard to acquire the clinic from its previous owners, and together they are proud to operate one of Auckland's best companion animal practices.
In 2014, Oliver earned membership in the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists after passing rigorous written and oral examinations in veterinary pharmacology. This qualification reflects his dedication and in-depth knowledge in the field. He has also served as the head examiner for the College’s pharmacology chapter and is an active member of the Antimicrobial Resistance Committee for the New Zealand Veterinary Association, where he provides expert guidance on the responsible use of antimicrobials in veterinary practice.
Bringing advanced skills, leadership, and his vibrant personality to the clinic every day, Oliver thrives on the variety and challenges of working in a high-quality environment. His deep love for animals drives his commitment to providing exceptional care. At home, he’s surrounded by his own furry companions—two dogs, a cat, two rabbits, and two rats—who ensure he is always happily covered in pet fur.
